HALO Core User Handbook
Welcome to the HALO Core User Handbook. This guide helps you get the most out of HALO Core — your workspace for research and content creation.
What is HALO Core?
HALO (Holistic Agent Logical Orchestrator) Core is a workspace app that helps you:
- Collect sources — files, web findings, connector results
- Ask questions — source-grounded AI chat
- Generate outputs — reports, infographics, podcasts, presentations
- Save insights — reusable notes from your work
In short: HALO Core combines a document library, an AI assistant, and a content studio in one interface.
HALO Signature Features
Team-based AI Collaboration
HALO can run with a team of specialized agents. Each agent has its own role, instructions, tools, and settings. This allows different expert perspectives — research-focused, report-focused, or tool-focused behavior.
Smart Delegation Strategies
HALO supports multiple delegation modes:
| Mode | Behavior |
|---|---|
direct_only |
Master agent answers directly |
delegate_on_complexity |
Delegates to specialists by skills |
always_delegate |
Delegates to all configured members |
coordinated_rag |
Delegates broadly with source-first RAG guidance |
Transparency
Users can inspect what happened during generation via expandable sections:
- Agent Actions
- Tool Calls
- Agent Thinking
This gives visibility into reasoning flow without exposing raw internals.
Memory Management
HALO supports a memory layer linked to the active user. When memory backend is enabled, user memory persists across interactions and can be managed in the Account page.
Multimodal Understanding
Users can combine in one chat flow:
- Text prompts
- Image uploads
- Audio input (with transcription)
Source-Grounded Citations
HALO answers using selected sources with citation-aware response handling and fallback resilience when streaming output is empty.
Studio Pipeline
HALO turns research context directly into production-style outputs (report, infographic, podcast, presentation, etc.). Outputs are persisted, revisitable, and exportable.
